Eligibility:

• Be 18 to 33 years old
• Be in good physical and mental condition and act according to the program schedule orderly and live harmoniously in a large group
• Have interest in Japan and be expected to expand exchange and promote friendship among Japan and own participating country
• Possess considerable knowledge of the society and cultures of own participating country
• Have interest in and understanding of the participating countries other than own country
• Have sufficient command of English equal to university discussion level to participate smoothly in activities
• Be able to participate in the entire duration of the program
• Bear the expense for preparing the equipment required for online exchange (computers, the environment to access the internet, etc.)
• Cooperate in following with the necessary measures against infectious diseases such as COVID-19 and influenza requested by the Cabinet Office as deemed necessary (vaccination, wear a face mask, sanitize hands and fingers, take PCR tests, etc.)
• Cooperate in following with the necessary border measures against infectious diseases such as COVID-19 when they are in place
• Have no prior experience in international youth exchange programs sponsored by the Cabinet Office in FY2019 and before
