Impression of CPY of the Year 2006
First, I would like to thank SSEAYP that has built me to be a better and more thoughtful person for my team, and my country.

New Batch, New Achievements!
Upon completing their good-will ambassadors’ mission in SSEAYP, CPYs 2006 have brought back new achievements to SSEAYP International Cambodia as well as to Cambodia as a whole.

First, I would like to thank SSEAYP for making me a better and more thoughtful person for my team, country and the world. I was very excited and surprised to be selected CPY of the Year 2006. In fact, the most important thing beyond being rewarded this title is the unity and love between the SSEAYP brothers and sisters.

I would like to share with you some of the things I have learnt and become of from SSEAYP. I am one who likes the words “leadership and friendship”, but before joining this program, I was likely to define these words differently and wrongly. The program has shown me what these terms really mean. I, as a result, became a different person who is more careful in the things I do and more friendly to people. I have changed myself from being a bit selfish to being a sharing person - sharing love, care, fun and experience. Also, before and during the program, I would spend so much time thinking of ways to avoid conflicts or to solve them as they arise.

I have learned though that the only best way is to start from myself – to work cooperatively and peacefully with others and to keep silent and listen to all their points and postpone any judgments until everything has been said.

One of my main commitments for my team was to be as active as any chance permits. All throughout the program, whenever there was a question, “Who volunteers to...?”, I usually raised my hand with confidence, to show that if we have something that we can do for our nation, we should do them and not hide until the chance is over, just like a quote from US President John F. Kennedy, “Do not ask what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.”
